If you fancy joining us you would be more than welcome as the more people there are, the more energy and vitality there is to ensure North East Open Studios is a special event. We meet once a month, mostly online, share tasks and support one another to make North East Open Studios happen.

Connie has been a long-standing member of Clola Potters Plus, rekindling a love for pottery after many years through access to clay and equipment from a colleague. A member of the Scottish Potters Association, she enjoys experimenting with new techniques, particularly in glazing. She looks forward to welcoming visitors to Clola Pottery and exchanging ideas with fellow makers.
Carol has worked with clay on and off since school but developed a deeper interest after retiring and attending a sculpting course. Working from a converted garage and Clola Pottery, she takes inspiration from animals and nature. Since 2021, she has exhibited at our Open Studios event and now creates work for galleries and commissions, with a particular focus on colourful raku animals.
Tilly is a Fine Art and Textiles Graduate from Moray School of Art, based in Elgin. Influenced by her family’s history with textiles, she explores texture, opacity, and sustainability in her work, often repurposing worn fabrics to highlight their history and value. Inspired by Kintsugi, she embraces imperfection, layering and encasing fabric remnants to examine themes of concealment, memory and identity.
Lynne tried to leave after being our Chair but we were not quite ready to let her go! She is a glass artist based in rural Aberdeenshire, having transitioned from a career in external affairs to establish Bennachie Stained Glass and Crafts in 2016. Working with stained, copper foiled, and fused glass, she now creates from a purpose-built workshop alongside her husband and is currently exploring enamelling.
