Code of Conduct

This Code of Conduct applies to all members, volunteers, postholders, trustees and committee members. By joining NEOS, you agree to uphold these principles throughout your participation in events and communications.

Our Values

Respect – Treat others with courtesy, kindness and professionalism.
Integrity – Be honest and act in the best interests of NEOS and its members.
Collaboration – Support and uplift your fellow creatives.
Accountability – Take responsibility for your words, actions and participation.

What’s Expected of You

• Communicate respectfully with members, visitors and organisers.
• Follow NEOS event guidelines, membership terms and committee decisions.
• Represent NEOS positively in all interactions, both online and in person.
• Only display and sell your own work unless all participants are registered NEOS members.

What’s Not Acceptable

Bullying, harassment, intimidation or discrimination.

• Hostile, aggressive or repeated negative communication.
• Misuse of NEOS’s name, platforms or logo.
• Operating as a group under multiple single memberships (‘group-by-stealth’ where a few members pay but creatives that have not paid present work).
• Publicly undermining NEOS, its committee or members.
• Not welcoming or engaging with visitors during the NEOS event.
• Not being present during the NEOS event on the days you are open.

Consequences for Breaches

If a member breaches this Code, the NEOS Committee may issue a warning, suspend or revoke membership, or remove the member from the directory, website or event without warning.

All decisions are final once ratified by the NEOS Committee and no refunds will be provided.
