CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

This is what you agree to as a member. Please read carefully.

1. ELIGIBILITY

Membership is open to artists and makers who are permanent residents of North East Scotland.
Out of area applications may be considered at our discretion. Priority is always given to North East Scotland residents.
We do NOT accept applications from galleries, commercial businesses or craft retail spaces.
We do NOT accept shops or venues that rent space to multiple artists or crafters who are not fully paid individual NEOS members.

Application submission does NOT constitute acceptance.
There is no curatorial judgement of artistic quality, however we apply administrative criteria.
Applications must be completed in full.
You will receive ONE opportunity only to correct missing information before 31 March.
Silence after 31 March indicates non-acceptance.
NEOS reserves the right to:
- Reject unsuitable content
- Reject any application at its discretion
- Cap applications based on administrative capacity
- Move fully completed applications to a waiting list

All NEOS decisions are final.

- Registration opens: 1 March
- Registration closes: 31 March
- No grace period.

- Payment will only be requested once acceptance is confirmed by email.
- BACS payments made without using the correct payment reference for the current year will be rejected and refunded.

All work must be designed and made by you, from concept to final piece.
No commercially manufactured products. (print products, fittings and fixtures are an exception – common sense should be applyed here)
Each membership represents one individual artist or maker.
Shared venues and collaborations are welcome.
Every individual exhibiting must be a registered, fully paid member.
Members may not display or sell work by non-registered individuals.
If your work is on display during NEOS and you are promoting yourself using NEOS branding, you must be a fully paid individual member.

NEOS is an Open Studios event, not an art and craft fair.

You agree to:

If no one is present, this creates a poor visitor experience and reflects badly on the event.

- Proofreading your book entry is your sole responsibility.
- NEOS takes no responsibility for typos or errors in submitted content used in promotional materials.
- NEOS reserves the right to reject unsuitable content.
- NEOS reserves the right to use submitted images for promotional purposes.

Anyone who:

- Removed from the directory immediately
- Ineligible for future participation
- Not refunded
