Artist statement
First opening of my new studio in Hopeman. I would like to share my impressions of our stunning sea & landscapes using oils, acrylics & watercolours; I draw in pen & inks for detailed images; create cards & prints & small glassworks. Art is part of a life long adventure which brings much joy; I hope I can convey that to you through my work.
Extended Bio
Studied Art & Graphic Design at Eastbourne School of Art / Enterprise College, Alabama USA. Exhibited in USA, Australia, Germany, Wales, Shropshire; Oxfordshire, Nairn, Lossiemouth & Hopeman. I love landscape and now seascape having recently moved to Moray. The Scottish countryside; climate and light is an ongoing challenge which I try to capture in oils, acrylics and watercolour. I make initial sketches in situ; take photos and complete the paintings in my new studio. I love to draw the harbours, boats & fishing gear so am often sketching by the seashore. Visitors to the studio are always welcome, I value their comments and observations. I look forward to meeting you
