I work mainly in acrylics on canvas but have recently had fun experimenting with collage. My subject matter ranges from landscape through still life and abstract to surrealist. Colour and texture are important to me and I enjoy watching each work develop from the original idea to the finished product. I hope my work will make you smile!

I have enjoyed art and craft all my life and now that I am retired have the time to experiment in different media. My favourites are painting and mixed media collage. Colour and texture are fundamental to my approach. My pieces tend to develop from a basic idea, possibly just a single word "Dreaming" (which is my featured piece) or a concept "First Frost" or "Dialogue". At the moment I am working on some abstract and very colourful pieces "Funfair" and "I see a city".
I have shown successfully locally and been delighted by the appreciation of those viewing my work.
Painting makes me happy and i hope it makes my customers happy too!
