Artist statement

Working predominantly in acrylic, I'm inspired by the breath-taking views of the Moray Firth coastline. My paintings combine vibrant hues, black line and unique compositions. My work resonates with locals and visitors alike, and I'm often told they capture the unique feeling of standing still in this wild and rugged landscape.

Extended Bio

My journey as an artist began in 1993 graduating from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design in Dundee with a BA Fine Art (Sculpture). My background in sculpture has played a significant role in shaping my artistic style. Influenced by my love of medieval wood carvings and figurative art, these influences can be seen in the rich textures and intricate details that characterise my work. I'm delighted to welcome you to my beautiful wee brick studio, which continues to delight visitors and is just a stone's throw from one of the North East iconic features, The Bowfiddle Rock.
