Coming into Newburgh from the south, we are about half-way along Main Street on the left-hand side, directly opposite the Udny Arms Hotel/Trellis Cafe (lovely for a coffee and cake!). The gallery is at the bottom of the back garden, the way is signposted.

Artist statement
I’m inspired by the big skies, open landscape, and empty beaches of northeast Scotland. Daily walks and drives spark ideas for my oil paintings, as I’m drawn to striking color combinations and the play of light on land and water. With bold, expressive brushstrokes, I aim to capture these fleeting moments and the raw beauty of my surroundings.
Extended Bio
I was born and brought up in Peterhead before going to Edinburgh College of Art to study for a BA in Drawing and Painting in 1992. After graduating, I went on to complete an MA in European Fine Art in Winchester and Barcelona before coming back to the North East to live and work in 1998.
Over the years I have worked on many art projects including artist's residencies, teaching art to children and adults in further education, museum and school settings, and working on public art projects. For the last six years I have taught children’s art classes from my studio, now teaching 50-60 children per week. I've continued to develop my own painting practice throughout, and now paint and sell my work from my studio in Newburgh and online from my website.
