Artist statement
Based in my garden studio, I throw pots on a Leach treadle wheel. The decoration of my work is heavily influenced by the surrounding seascapes of Montrose, also by the seasons and other varied landscapes of Angus. I work mainly in stoneware clay & fire in an electric kiln, experimenting with other firing techniques where possible.
Extended Bio
The Clay Half venue is my pottery, art and creative teaching studio space in the heart of Montrose. Ordinarily full of students, during NEOS the venue will be a mix of work for sale by 3 of the artists who work at the Clay Half and they will be working in the venue throughout the week, demonstrating their creative skills and processes.
