Artist statement
I’m a photographic artist exploring the human-nature connection through multiple exposures, analogue techniques, and alternative processes. I focus on sustainable practices like plant-based film development, as well as cyanotypes. My artwork is created through collaboration with the environment.
Extended Bio
I explore the inter-connectedness of humans and the natural world, our ancestral synergy with the earth, and the way forward as these interactions become weakened and lost.
I create photography that is both personal and all-encompassing, as I seek a deeper connection with nature. My work feels familiar, yet it opens doors to a more rooted experience within the environment. My aim is to create artwork that is healing for myself, for viewers, and for the natural world. Currently, I focus on analogue photography, developing film using plant material, and I work a lot with the cyanotype process to print images using natural UV light. My creative practice is deeply connected to the environment, and I see the natural world as my collaborator.
