Artist statement
Organic forms, sacred relics and ancient treasure, imperfect and marked by history inspire and excite me. I create in an intuitive way, transforming gold, silver and gems into wearable talismans. My jewellery can symbolize an intention, represent a story or mark a precious moment. This year
I'll be showing my work alongside Sam Chinnery and Al Campbell.
Extended Bio
I'm a self taught jeweller with a BA Hons degree in design practice. Inspiratoion for my jewellery comes through organic forms, sacred relics and ancient treasures, imperfect and marked by history. I create jewellery in an intuitive way, transforming gold, silver and gems into wearable talismans. My jewellery can symbolise an intention, represent a story or mark a precious moment.
A recent, exciting project was a comission from the Shrewsbury Museum to create a collection of jewellery based on some of the artefacts in their collection. Each year I make 1-2 new jewellery collections as well as take on comissions for sentimental pieces such as wedding and engagement rings.
