Artist statement

What started as a hobby has now become my full-time passion. This year, I’m diving deeper into watercolour capturing wildlife wrapped in florals, and pushing myself with oil painting to create works that speak of strength and peaceful harmony. I’m embracing this journey to truly find my rhythm and voice as an artist…I can’t wait to share it with you.

Extended Bio

Rebecca Kerr Soverall is a passionate Aberdeenshire artist whose work brings the beauty of nature into your home. With a love for floral art, she creates original acrylic, oil, and watercolor designs that evoke a sense of peace and joy. Each piece is unique, and many are available as one-off artworks or are transformed into beautiful products such as vegan-suede cushions, tea towels, notebooks, and more…so you can bring tiny pieces of Kerr Soverall art into your everyday life. Beyond her creations, Rebecca is dedicated to nurturing creativity in others. She regularly hosts art workshops in Kirkton of Skene, where she teaches watercolour to groups of “continuing artists.” These workshops are designed to help beginners overcome their initial struggles with watercolor and find their own artistic voice, allowing them to grow and flourish in their craft with the support and guidance of Kerr Soverall Art . This year, Rebecca is focusing on capturing the beauty of wildlife and the harmony of colour in her work. She is exploring the stillness and delicate movement of florals while embracing the flow of life and energy in art. Her goal is to create pieces that resonate deeply, stirring emotions and connecting you with the world around you.
