Artist statement
Unusual paintings inspired by nature and humanity concerned more about colour and transparency than representation. My practice is painting colour movements according to their relationship to light and darkness. No longer a visual representation it invites the viewer to a personal experience. Welcome to my studio where I work and give painting workshops.
Extended Bio
Art has always been of great importance for me and influenced by the works of Rembrandt and Turner I was inspired to get serious about painting at a very young age. After postgraduate (MA) studies in Fine Art (2014) at Norwich University of the Arts I returned to Scotland. I have participated in Open Studios and exhibited widely in solo and group shows and have been a finalist in Norfolk Best Talents.
