Artist statement
I work primarily in oil paint, creating paintings that are inspired by a sense of place, the elements, and the transient quality of the light. Oil paint allows me to work in a colour pallette that is luminous and bold as well as at times subtle and close-toned. My paintings might be described as semi-abstract responses to my surroundings.
