When you come over the Victoria Bridge towards Torry you will take the first turn to your right along South Esplanade East (one way road). Then take your first right through the open gates and in to Deemouth Business Centre. Paper Houses Design is in Unit 1 (the first unit on your left). 15 mins walk / 5 min bus from Union Square.

Artist statement
Textile designer Mhairi Allan takes their inspiration from overlooked structures in our daily lives. Each piece beautifully combines modern aesthetics with traditional craft. Designs strike a harmonious balance between beauty & functionality. Under the studio name Paper Houses Design Mhairi creates homewares, accessories, textile art & offers workshops.
Extended Bio
Mhairi specialises in digital & screen printing as well as embroidery. She sees pattern in the everyday, from shadows on stairs to kids building blocks. Mhairi takes these lines, textures & often geometric shapes to create patterns. At her city studio Mhairi also offers workshops so that you can join in the creative fun too. From folks who are complete beginners to designers wanting to develop their craft.
