Extended Bio

My work spans multiple disciplines including writing, making, drawing, & iPhone photography. Taking narratives from folklore and fables, I’m interested in people, their stories, and the connection between creativity and community. I use my Instagram as a sketchbook, capturing everyday moments and telling stories with the images. I’m currently the Artist in Residence at The Barn for the Far Orchard project. Established by artists in 2022, 120 apple trees were gifted throughout the Dee Valley as a dispersed orchard and I am thrilled to present my photographic portraits of some of the hosts within a built installation around the apple trees. Read more about the Far Orchard project here: https://thefarorchard.co.uk/, and even join with your existing apple tree. Additionally, a workshop with Helen Jackson, Hilary Duncan, and Sarah Pooley on the 18th at The Barn. This event promises an opportunity to have a go, and explore your creativity around ideas from the children’s story “The Faraway tree” and “Show me something no one else has ever seen”.
