Artist statement
I'm a ceramicist and I handbuild, sculpt and throw my ceramic pieces, which are decorative and/or functional. My work celebrates animals, nature, people and patterns. It can be highly illustrative, fantastical and whimsical, simple or detailed, smoke fired or coloured, and each tells a story or hopefully raises a smile.

I'm a ceramicist and I handbuild, sculpt and throw my ceramic pieces, which are decorative and/or functional. My work celebrates animals, nature, people and patterns. It can be highly illustrative, fantastical and whimsical, simple or detailed, smoke fired or coloured, and each piece tells a story or hopefully raises a smile. My love of clay started with an evening class back in 2004 and now my work has been sold in galleries, bought for private collections and I was selected for Season 4 of Channel 4's The Great Pottery.Throw Down - an amazing adventure with mud, fire and water!
